There are tons of players who actually don’t know what diverting power is in Star War Squadrons. If you too are one of them then don’t fret, this guide will explain each and everything about diverting powers to engines, weapons, shields and why you should do it on a daily basis.
What Diverting Power Is in Star Wars Squadrons?
The ability to divert power to the different system within your ship is present in all craft in Star Wars Squadrons. For the first time, when you take a flight in a mission or multiplayer match, your ship will have a Balanced Power. This means that engines, weapons and shields will have an equal proportion of power.
The ability to divert power lets players boost either their Engines, Weapons or Shields. Notably, only the TIE Reapers on the Empires side has Shields. The remaining have only two options to divert powers — Engines and Weapons.
- When you divert power to your engines, it increases your speed and agility and charges the speed boost ability when maxed out.
- When you divert power to your weapons systems, it increases the recharge speed of your blasters and creates a powerful overcharge when maxed out.
- When you divert power to your Shields, it increases their recharge rate and creates a damage-absorbing overshield when maxed out.
Now, you must have understood the importance of diverting your power to one of your ship’s system.
