Having upgraded weapons is of utmost importance in Warhammer 40K Space Marine 2, especially if you’re on the grind for Requisition points in Operations mode. There are four weapon tiers in the game: Standard, Master-Crafted, Artificer and Relic. In this guide, we explain how to upgrade and get the Artificer weapons (purple tier) in Space Marine 2.
How to Get Artificer Tier Weapons in Space Marine 2
You need the Armoury Data currency to upgrade your weapon tier to Artificer and it comes in three colors indicating rarities. For the Master-Crafted tier, the color is green and the threat level of the Operations missions to complete is Minimal and Average. Then, by completing missions in the Substantial threat level, you can get Purple Armoury Data which is what you need to get the Artificer weapon tier.
Further ahead, completing missions in the Ruthless threat level provides Gold Armoury Data, for the Relic tier.
To collect this currency, you can complete all class trials with an A rank, and obtain 18 Master-Crafted Armoury Data.
Once that’s done, you can start farming Operations missions for XP and other rewards. If you come across Servo Skulls during missions, you will also get some Armoury data from them.
When you have enough to unlock the Artificer tier of weapons in Space Marine 2, head to the Armouring Hall and interact with the computer terminal. From here, click on a weapon and spend the currency to upgrade.
