Callisto Protocol is an adventure and survival-horror videogame by Striking Distance Studios. You play as Jacob Lee stuck on the Callisto Moon in the year 2320. While its critical reviews are mixed, it has a captivating and appealing storyline. If you are looking to speedrun, you might be looking for a skip button. But can you skip Cutscenes in Callisto Protocol? Check out our guide to find out.
How to Skip Cutscenes in The Callisto Protocol
The answer to that question is No. Unfortunately, there is no possible way to skip Cutscenes in the Callisto Protocol. That’s because all the cutscenes are real-time scenes. The entire gameplay is divided into several real-time cutscenes.
As you progress into the game, you will notice striking resemblances with other horror-survival video games. These include games like Dead Space and Left 4 Dead. Similar to Dead Space, there are no loading screens throughout its different chapters. Furthermore, there are not many long Cutscenes, to begin with. So, you might be able to speed-run Callisto Protocol anyway.
Nevertheless, players are quite disappointed as they have to watch these scenes repeatedly. If the players haven’t hit the checkpoint yet, they have to go through the Cutscene, again. And they cannot even skip the scene. It can be annoying to watch the cutscene again if you are unable to hit the checkpoint. In addition to that, several critics also mentioned this decision of not allowing to skip cutscenes as a letdown. In my opinion, it could have been much better if skipping cutscenes was optionable.
But with the upcoming Battle Pass and DLC Expansions next year, the devs might reconsider this decision. If that happens, we will make sure to update this guide. Until then, you can check out our guide for Survival tips and combat basics to stay alive longer.
