Did you catch an enormous serpent in the trailers of Elden Ring? That is Rykard, the lord of Blasphemy in his God devouring serpent form. Unlike most of the bosses that have one health bar for both phases, he has two health bars for both his forms. He is one of the optional shard bearers you have to defeat to access the Leyndell Castle. You have to defeat his God Devouring serpent form during the first phase to get to Rykard. How to Get to Rykard in Elden Ring?
There are two ways to get to Rykard. You can either complete the questline for Tanith or teleport through a portal directly to Serpent’s location.
Complete Lady Tanith’s questline
- If you have defeated the Godskin Noble and discovered Temple of Eiglay, site of Grace, fast travel over there directly.
- If not, head over to the Volcano Manor located at Mt.Gelmir.
- Once you have reached there, drop to the land not submerged in lava.
- Leap and head right to climb upwards until you see an Assasin waiting on the stairs.
- Defeat him to enter the Church where you will encounter Godskin Noble.
- Once you have defeated him, talk to lady Tanith who is the head of Volcano Manor.
- She will ask you if you want to join Volcano Manor and resist the tide together.
- Select the join Volcano Manor option to trigger her quests.
- You need to complete her entire questline until she invites you to meet Rykard, the lord of Blasphemy.
- Upon accepting, you will be teleported to Rykard in an instant in Elden Ring.
Using a Waygate Teleporter
- Once you have reached the Temple of Eiglay and defeated Godskin Noble, pull the lever in the church.
- As you reach upwards, take a right until you see magma-infused snail creatures.
- Then take a left and head further to a building through the window.
- You can also get Magma Blade by defeating one of the Lizardmen over there.
- Head further to climb stairs and enter into a different part of the building.
- Go straight and enter a room with people praying.
- Climb the stairs and exit the room by heading outside.
- You will notice a Waygate over there.
- Examine it and select yes to reach the location of Rykard, the Lord of Blasphemy.
You need to defeat his God-devouring Serpent form to fight with Rykard, the Lord of Blasphemy.
