Playing competitive Pokemon can be tough especially with your team having the wrong EVs, thankfully there are ways in Scarlet & Violet that let you reset it. How to Reset EVs in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet
You can reset your Pokemon’s EVs by giving them berries that reduce the EVs of that stat by 10 and then retraining your Pokemon. There are 6 different berries for the 6 stats in the game. Thus in order to reset EVs you will need:
- Pomeg Berry: -10 HP EVs
- Kelpsy Berry: -10 Attack EVs
- Qualot Berry: -10 Defense EVs
- Hondew Berry: -10 Special Attack
- Grepa Berry: -10 Special Defense
- Tamato Berry: -10 Speed
Do remember they just reduce your EVs for that stat and not automatically increase another stats’ EVs. You will still need to EV train your Pokemon to increase your other stats. I suggest you use these EV training spots to speed up the process.
When EV training your Pokemon, you can only have a maximum of 510 EV points in total. So after using these berries you will have to train your Pokemon again.
How to Get EV Reducing Berries
- Buying from Porto Marinada: The best place to get EV Reducing berries is from Porto Marinada. You can get access to it after you defeat the Water gym leader. The items in the Porto Marinada auction house change frequently so you need to check in on it daily to find out which item is up for auction. Once you find a berry is available that you need. Make your bids and win the item accordingly.
- From Different regions: There are a ton of places that you can explore while traversing the Paldea region. Always keep an out for shiny things on the ground. One of them might be the berries you need. This is a very unreliable method but one that also works.
