How to Level Up your Pokemon to 100 in Scarlet & Violet
You can quickly level up your Pokemon to 100 by making it hold a Lucky egg and battling. There are effectively only two main ways for you to level up your Pokemon to 100. The first is battling trainers and wild Pokemon. And the second is by feeding them Exp Candy.
You can also feed them Rare candy to instantly level them up by 1 level. But as the name implies they are rare to come across. So it is best if you save them for the last few levels. This is because you can level up from level 81-90 a whole lot faster than you can level up from 91 to 100. Thus it is best if you save up your Rare candies for the last few levels.
Here are all three ways to help your Pokemon reach level 100.
Battling Pokemon
To level up fast, you should Battle Pokemon, but the catch is you shouldn’t battle each and every Pokemon you come across. You can do these few things that will help optimize the Pokemon you challenge and level up.
- Rematch Gym leaders: After you become the champion the first thing you should do is go back to all 8 gyms and beat them again. This will allow you to unlock the Academy Ace Tournament.
- Challenge Academy Ace Tournament: After unlocking, you can challenge this Tournament as many times as you like to farm Exp and easily make money.
- Battle Wild Chansey and Blissey: Chansey and Blissey are two Pokemon that give you some of the most Exp in the game. You can encounter both of them at:
- North Province Area One
- North Province Area Two
- North Province Area Three
- To increase these encounters you can even eat Sandwiches that give you Normal Encounter Power. Some of these Sandwiches are:
- Master Potato Sandwich
- Master Egg Sandwich
- Master Refreshing Sandwich
- Or you can encounter them at Tera Raid Battles.
Using Exp Candies
Exp Candies instantly give your Pokemon a ton of Exp based on the size of the candy you used. And in order to get Exp Candies you need to do Tera Raid Battles. Don’t forget to use the Lucky egg while taking on these raids. And just like battling Pokemon don’t just take on any raids. Assuming you are trying to get to level 100 your Pokemon should be of good levels and you must have beaten the main game. So you should challenge the following raids to get these rewards:
- 4-Star Raids: Gives you Exp. Candy (M) you have a chance to get Exp. Candy (L)
- 5-star Raids: Gives you Exp. Candy (L) you have a chance to get Exp. Candy (XL)
These candies give you the following Exp.
- Exp. Candy (M): 3,000
- Exp. Candy (L): 10,000
- Exp. Candy (XL): 30,000
Once again, I’d like to remind you to make the Pokemon that you are trying to get to level 100 hold the Lucky egg while battling. I am emphasizing it because it gives you 50% extra experience than what you normally earn. So you could easily miss out on a good amount of it, by just forgetting to use it.
