How To Refuel Your Ship In Starfield

Updated Date :

Apart from Ship Service Tech, you must have been searching for fuel stations at spaceports in Starfield while exploring different planets. The longer you are in space, exploring, the more confusing refueling your ship gets. We have made a guide for you with a simplified answer and ways in which you can increase your fuel capacity.

How to Refuel your Ship in Starfield

Starfield: Refueling Spaceship and Increasing Fuel Capacity

  • You do not have to worry about refueling your ship because it happens automatically, after every Grav jump. This procedure takes place seamlessly.
  • The entire idea of having fuel is it puts a limit on how far you can travel in a single gravity jump. If you happen to exceed your fuel capacity because you have chosen a long route, you will have to make multiple shorter jumps, by waiting in a system that is closer to your desired location and then making a final jump. This issue can also be eradicated by increasing your fuel capacity.

How to Increase Ship Fuel Capacity

  • Buying more fuel tanks will help you increase your fuel supply.
  • You can do this by modifying your ship every time you visit a ship technician. Once you go to ‘Ship Builder’, open the ‘Fuel Tanks’ option and choose the one you want. The best one you can own is a 900T He3 Tank, that holds up to 650 fuel. You can even go in for more reasonable options in tanks, that will range from 100 – 160 fuel.
  • Another way is to steal ships that have better fuel capacity as compared to the tanks you have.
  • Lastly, you can upgrade your Astrodynamic Skills. This will not directly improve your fuel supply but, it will have an impact on the rate of your Grav Jumps. It is one of the best ways to reduce the expenditure on expensive fuel tanks. The plus point about this feature is that there is no limit to which you can utilize it. You can reduce the cost of gravity jumps by 20% – 50% by using this skill.

This is everything you need to know about refueling your ship in Starfield. If you are looking for more guides and want to learn more about your spaceships, you can also check out how to get free ships and where to sell ships, right here on Gamer Tweak.
