The 3.1 Update of Genshin Impact is out and it has brought us loads of different new things to try in the already massive open-world of Teyvat. While exploring the newly added areas in Sumeru and exploring the Hypostyle Desert, players will eventually come across and initiate the Golden Slumber questline. While progressing through this questline, you will find yourself in the tomb palace of the late Scarlet King and tasked with the objective to open his coffin. This is part of ‘The Secret of Al-Ahmar’ quest inside the Mausoleum. In this guide we will show you how you can Try To Open The Coffin of King Deshret in Genshin Impact.
How to Try To Open the Coffin in Genshin Impact
Once you get to the part of the The Secret of Al-Ahmar quest where you’re asked to open the coffin, you’ll be at the center of the Mausoleum where the huge coffin lies. In order to open the coffin, all you need to do is release four glowing cubes called Primal Embers that make their way to the Primal Torches. These are the large pillars on the four corners of the coffin. Once the quest is active, you will even get markers to pin-point the location of the Primal Embers making it easier for you to find them.
You can find the first two Primal Embers by entering through the big doorway to the right of the room. Now, you will have two pathways on either side to get to each Primal Ember. To get to the Primal Ember on the right, players will have to use the Four-Leaf Sigil to teleport on top of the platform where you will find the first Primal Ember. For the Ember on the left, you will be guided by a floating Seelie leading you directly to the second Ember.
The remaining two Primal Embers can be found on the left doorway of the main room. At this point, you’ll again have two pathways on either side. Heading to the left side, you should take a flight of stairs up towards a huge statue. Above this statue you will find yet another Four-Leaf Sigil to teleport you directly to the Third Ember. As for the last Ember on the right side, you need to walk down a hallway to a big rotor on the floor that will push you up to a platform with an air current. Glide slowly to this platform to find the last Primal Ember.
How To Release The Primal Embers
Once you find the Primal Embers, all you need to do is interact with each of them to release them. The Embers will float and you will have to follow them to their respective Primal Torches to activate them. After the Primal Torches have activated, the Coffin of the Scarlet King will slowly open and you will have completed the objective.
