The game might have solved its problems with being unable to establish connection or server request failed, but just like Hydra, solving one problem sprouts about another. Recently a lot of Helldivers 2 players are completing the missions successfully but still not getting any XP, medals, or rewards. To make things worse it also isn’t the same for everyone. For some they get very little amount of progression, others are at the same place, meanwhile, some have also lost a level.
Can You Fix the Not Getting XP or Rewards Error for Helldivers 2?
Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be any fix for this issue at the time of writing this guide. What we can deduce is that it is related to server issues. There are several Reddit threads and players are even complaining about it on Steam forums about it. You can check some of the comments here:
Starting with a case where someone is only partially getting XP. Reddit user u/ognop3 said one of the missions that was supposed to reward 600 XP only gave around 150.
Another user u/water_frozen said that they didn’t have any issue with level XP, however, medals didn’t seem to work for them. Although they suggest that relaunching the game worked for them, other players find it is not of much use.
User u/Euphoric1988 also said in this post they had to do two missions out of which 1 didn’t give any main objective rewards and also talked about losing currency
“We then had to redo 3 more missions and two of those failed at giving rewards but at least finally got hell diver unlocked. I also hit level 20 and logged off. I come back on and I’m level 19 WTF!”
“Also noticed one time I had 9500 yellow currency and like nice one more mission and I’ll get a 10k unlock. Get out of mission I have 7400 currency lol.”

As of now the only thing that you can do is to Contact Arrowhead support and submit a request where you can explain this issue with the necessary details, screenshots, or videos. After they release an update or fix the server issues you shouldn’t have this problem anymore.

- Restart your game.
- Restart your PC or PS5.
- Verify game files.
- Reinstall the game.
