Allow a Program Through Windows Firewall
Follow these steps:
- Head over to the Control Panel and search for Windows Firewall.
- Select the “Allow a program through the Windows Firewall” option.
- As you click on it a list of several programs will appear. Click on the “Allow another program” option and select the League of Legends.
- Then, add the program to the list and head over to the Advanced settings option on the left pane.
- Click on the option of Inbound Rules on your left pane. You will see two LoL rules that aren’t checked with a green tick.
- Select and right-click on them to select the Enable Rule option.
Launch League of Legends to check if the error persists.
Change DNS Settings
Follow these steps:
- Head to the Control Panel and select Networking & Sharing.
- Then, select the Network & Sharing center option and select the network you are connected to. This option can be Ethernet, LAN, or other alternatives.
- Select the Properties option and click on the Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP /IPv4) option.
- Toggle the option “Use the following DNS server addresses” option.
- In the preferred DNS server option, type the number 8844.
- While for the alternative DNS server, type the number 8888.
- Once you have input the numbers, hit the OK button to save your settings.
