Elden Ring features a plethora of different types of weapons to unlock or grind for. Given the recent Colosseum update, several players are looking for Colossal weapons, swords, and other heavy weapons. One of these includes the Lance which is a Great Spear that can cause massive ranged damage. Out of all the Great Spears, it is the only weapon that can be applied to Ashes of War for further upgrades. But where to find or get this weapon? You can get the Lance by heading on top of the ruined structure to the northwest of the Limgrave region. It is located to the southwest of the Deathtouched Catacombs. As you reach the edge of the cliff, you will find a ruined structure below. You can jump off the cliff or use a horse mount to get there.
Since there will be plenty of enemies along the way, it is better to use a Torrent horse. These enemies include the Foot Soldiers, Godrick Knight, and the Godrick Soldiers that keep on patrolling the region. Once you get down to the ruined structure, you will find the Lance Spear at the top.
Lance is a perfect weapon for players that want to inflict long-ranged damage to their enemies. It inflicts 123 damage against the enemies around the Lands Between. But if you are looking to increase this damage output, you can upgrade it to Standard +25. The Lance causes a massive damage output of 301 Physical damage on upgrading it to Standard +25.
For strength-based builds, we suggest upgrading it with the Heavy affinity. While its Strength scaling is D, upgrading it with Heavy +25 can change it to A tier. With this upgrade, it causes 277 Physical Damage.
You can infuse this weapon with tons of compatible Ashes of War as mentioned earlier. But you can also use different Talismans to raise its damage. For the players looking for more damage while on horseback, you are in for a real treat. Scroll till the end to find out.
You can find the Lance Talisman to the northeast of the Stormhill region in Limgrave. Head over to the Deathtouched Catacombs Site of the grace, and head in a northeast direction to find this Talisman. Alternatively, you can also travel to the Saintsbridge Site of the Grace. From there, head to the top of the Golem Part in Limgrave.
As its description states, this Talisman depicts a Lance with a Knight. The Lance talisman increases the damage output to 15% while on the horseback. So, it can do a remarkable job of eliminating Field bosses and a few optional bosses.
