Minecraft is a Sandbox game that grants a player the freedom of expressing their creativity. As such the player can essentially do whatever they can like building Homes, Castles, Batsions, Villages, and more. As such, you will need to find smart & cheeky ways of decorating your builds and hiding the hideous parts. Here is where Invisible Item Frames come into the picture. They are more or less the same as Item Frames but have distinct differences. In this guide, I will show you how to get them by using the Invisible Item Frame Command in Minecraft.
What is the Invisible Item Frame Command in Minecraft
The Invisible Item Frame cannot be obtained through Vanilla Minecraft. Instead, it is summoned using Commands. The Command for summoning an Invisible Item Frame in all versions of Minecraft are:
- /give @p minecraft:item_frame{EntityTag:{Invisible:1}}
This Command is only applicable for Minecraft Java Edition. This is also the only way of getting them in the game.
What are they?
An Item Frame is a Block Entity that displays the item or block that is inside it. It is the perfect Block for displaying certain messages or Items. An Invisible Item Frame is more or less the same thing but it is invisible. This is not the only difference as Item Frames are pretty bulky for their size. Whenever you place an Item on the Item Frame, the Frame itself is not well hidden and sticks out a few eighths of a block.
This is where the Invisible Item Frame comes in as it is very slim. One, it is invisible so you don’t have to actively hide it and two, it displays the item flush to the block. That means if you place an item, not a block, it will not stick out. This is perfect for decorating & building with.
