How to Get a Hydraulic Generator in Once Human
- To unlock the blueprint for the Hydraulic Generator, head to the Memetics menu and click on the Logistics tab.
- Scroll to Tier 4 and you’ll find Hydraulic Generators under Power Upgrade – I. Go ahead and unlock it with 7 Ciphers and 2000 Energy Links.
- The formula or crafting recipe is 100x Aluminum Ingots, 15x Electronic Parts, 15x Special Parts, 15x Engineering Plastic, 50x Logs and 5x Fuses.
Logs can be obtained by felling trees that you see while exploring the map. Electronic Parts, and Engineering Plastic can be obtained by disassembling items. Fuses can be crafted on any type of Supplies Workbench (5x Copper Ingots, 2x Glass, 10x Metal Scraps) and lastly, here’s our guide on where you can find Special Parts.

How to Place and Use the Hydraulic Generator
The Hydraulic Generator is composed of a water turbine, generator, governor and other components. When the water flows through the turbine, the water energy is converted into mechanical energy that drives the rotation of the machine, and the generator converts the mechanical energy into electrical energy output.
To ensure that water flows properly, place the end of the generator which is the turbine in the flowing water, and the rest of it on land.
Adjust the placement until the game approves the location. And if the generator isn’t working as expected, move it around different spots, and ensure that the water is flowing and has the right water level too. It shouldn’t be too deep or shallow.
You can choose to move your territory to a better location to have the right water body like a river, next to your base.
When the generator is up and running, open up build mode and press X on it. You’re ready to connect wires and supply power to your base as required.
