While this survival game is fun solo, it’s even more fun to play with friends and one of the most crucial parts of the gameplay is building a base. When you’re sharing a base with friends, you need to know all about giving the necessary building permissions.
Basically, it’s a way to control who makes changes to the base which includes constructing new structures, modifying existing ones, and accessing storage. This should be enabled only if you know that your friend will have valuable changes to make, and whenever you’re ready, here’s how to do it.
How to Share Base Building Permissions in Once Human
To give building permissions to a specific friend, you need to find them in your Hive/Warband list and grant access via the pop-up.
- First, make sure you and your friend are on the same Hive or Warband.
- Once you’ve confirmed it, press the U key on your keyboard. This will bring up the Team Up screen.
- Click on the Hive or Warband tab and you’ll see a list of players.
- Find the friend you want to grant building permissions.
- Right-click on their username.
- Click on the > button that says ‘Friend Permissions’ and from here, you can provide access to facilities, building, or storage. The options you have are to Enable access or Deny it.
Things to keep in mind:
- Carefully consider the level of permission you want to grant. Allowing full build access gives your friend complete control over your base which also includes destruction of elements.
- Communicate with Friends. Clarify your expectations and boundaries to avoid misunderstandings.
With these steps, you can easily share your base with friends and collaborate on building projects in Once Human. In case you want someone to no longer have access, follow the same steps and select Deny.
