Stone is one of the earliest ores you can find in The Forge, and it’s easily available in World 1: Stonewake’s Cross. It’s great for early-game crafting and provides decent value for absolute beginners. Here’s where to mine Stone, the rock type you need to look for, the multiplier, chance, and sell value. Plus, find out why it’s not dropping for players on some occasions.

How to Get Stone in The Forge
To obtain Stone, head to the Cave in Stonewake’s Cross and with a pickaxe equipped (any basic pickaxe will do), start mining the rocks that say “Pebble.” It has a drop chance of 1/1 so it’s a guaranteed drop, however, for many players, Stone doesn’t seem to be dropping at all – even after mining 200+ Pebbles.

Why can’t I get Stone?
While Stone not dropping from Pebbles seems to be a bug, it’s most likely connected to the fact that there’s a 2x Luck Boost event going on at the time of writing. This is why you’re getting the ores which have a 1 in 3 chance or 1 in 5 chance, and not obtaining Stone, which is a 1/1 chance. I tested this myself and found plenty of Sand Stone, Copper, and Iron, but no Stone.

Here’s the mention of the Luck Boost weekend on the official page – you’ll see when it ends in your time zone. You can mine Stone after that and hopefully get it easily.

Meanwhile, you can focus on other rare ores and make the most of the luck boost and free rerolls. Check out our The Forge codes to get the rerolls right away!
That’s all for this one. If you’re wondering where to find Ruby, the Elite Rogue Skeleton enemy, Cuprite, Bard’s Missing Guitar or even Tomo’s Cat, check out our linked guides to get the answers.
