Moon Wood is a Legendary crafting item that will help you craft the Celestial Rod, which is one of the craftable rods added to Fisch. This rod has a unique passive where after catching 85 fish, you summon Celestial powers for 5 minutes, boosting +50% luck and +30% lure speed. That’s not all — the fish you catch will also get the Celestial mutation and +30% XP. So, here’s the location where you can get Moon Wood in Fisch and all other conditions to fulfill.
Where to Get Moon Wood in Fisch (Location)
Moon Wood can be obtained by fishing on Snowcap Island. However, there’s a very specific requirement to catch it. You can get it if there’s an Eclipse going on or the more common Moonlit Mirage server event is currently active.
The Eclipse will naturally happen every 7 days but if a player triggers it with the help of the Eclipse totem, it can be forced across the server. That’s when you can also collect the Solar Fragment and open the vault in the Ancient Archives.
However, you are more likely to see the Moonlit Mirage first, which will be indicated by a notification at the top of your screen. If you want to speed time, use the Sundial totem to change from day to night, to have a chance of getting the Moonlit Mirage event more quickly.
When that happens, hop onto your boat, head to Snowcap Island, and start fishing. Thankfully, this can be done during any time of the day, any season, and with any bait.
When you hook the Moon Wood, you will see a yellow exclamation mark above your character’s head and hear a bell sound. Complete the fishing mini-game carefully, and you should be able to collect it because it has no progress speed decrease attached. You may obtain Moon Wood with various mutations as well.
To craft the Celestial Rod, you require level 500, in-game cash of at least 100,000C$, and ingredients of 3x Moonstone (obtained from a Meteor), 3x Moon Wood, and 1x Ancient Thread in Fisch.
