With the addition of the new Ancient Isle island to Fisch, we also have the feature of crafting rods and an important part of the process are the Magic and Ancient Threads. They are rare materials swhich require you to find another rare item. Here’s all you need to know about finding and using these threads to your advantage.
Where to Find Magic and Ancient Thread Crafting Items in Fisch? (Location)
You are most likely to find the Magic and Ancient Thread from a Treasure Chest, which can be located with the help of a Treasure Map. These maps can be randomly caught while you’re fishing anywhere in the world, but I had a better chance in Vertigo. So, I recommend you try there first, however, you are likely to find it anywhere.
Once you obtain the Treasure Map, visit the Forsaken shores NPC in this cave and pay him 250C$ to fix the missing coordinates. Then, all you need to do is visit the location with those exact coordinates and there will be a treasure chest waiting for you. It’s not guaranteed to get the Magic Thread in your first attempt, because you can also obtain bobbers, baits, quality bait crates, totems like the Aurora Totem, Sunken Rod and even Enchant Relics. However, if you already have a Sunken rod, you have a luckier chance to pull up a Treasure map!
What do Magic and Ancient Threads Do in Fisch?
These threads are materials used for crafting at the Ancient Archives which is also a new location added within the Ancient Isle. To access it, you need to follow these steps:
- Find all 4 fragments of Ancient, Solar, Earth and Deep Sea.
- Look for the waterfall where you got the Deep Sea fragment and climb towards the top.
- Jump on the rocky areas next to the water and enter the doorway right behind the waterfall.
- Once you’re inside, climb into the hole in the ground by using the Rope (press and hold E).
- Place them into the statues and rotating them facing towards you while all the pressure plates are active. This can be done by having 4 players standing on the pressure plate. Also note that the Eclipse event has to be happening which is when you can rotate the statues.
- Doing this will open the door.
Within the Ancient Archives, you’ll need a glider to cross the gap and reach the crafting table. Interact with it and you will see all the currently available craftable rods. Choose the one you want to craft, make sure you have all the necessary materials and hit the Craft button. The costs, stats, abilities are all different, of course, and most have different level requirements. The highest one at the moment, the Rod of the Forgotten Fang, has a level requirement of 750 and costs C$300,000.
