The Wisdom Rod in Fisch is one of the 10 craftable rods added in the Ancient Isle update, along with a range of other new things. To craft it, you require a lot of cash, some rare ingredients and quite a bit of time and effort. How to Craft the Wisdom Rod in Fisch?
First, make sure you have accessed the Ancient Archives because it’s an unskippable step to reach and use the Crafting table. You require 4 Fragments, the right timing with the help of an Eclipse Totem.
Then, you need all the crafting materials for the Wisdom Rod which are: 1x Ruby, 1x Magic Thread and 2x Mythical Driftwood. Make sure you also have reached level 40 and have at least 50,000C$ with you.
Magic Thread is quite easy to come by — all you need to do is fish anywhere and you should be able to catch it. For a Ruby, you need to open up a Meteor which can be spawned with the help of a Meteor Totem.
Lastly, the Mythical Driftwood is a very rare item, and obtaining it is either based on luck (fishing out a Mythical version directly) or needs a lot of money spent (appraising a normal Driftwood to change it to a Mythical). If you’re lucky, a friend or random stranger might offer it to you.
Should you Get the Wisdom Rod and is it Worth it?
The Wisdom Rod has an interesting passive where it gives the player a 70-100% XP bonus after 5 successful catches in a row, which is notified to you via a pop-up message. So, this makes it a good rod for farming XP and leveling up fast, however, you can use a better rod with the insight or clever enchants for the same purpose without spending money on Mythical Driftwood.

As you can tell, the base stats are average at best and its low lure speed, luck, control, and resilience are going to hinder your fishing experience. There also seem to be some glitches that players are facing, where the exp boost doesn’t apply at the right time, or sometimes doesn’t apply at all.
According to some players, the Rod of the Depths (one of the best rods in the game) along with the Insight enchantment is the better option for earning XP fast.
