The in-game description says that it was crafted by the Legendary King of the Depths and Legends say that every once in a while, the manifestation of the Kings stand visits you to hand you a gift from the deep waters! It’s a good rod to have because it has a max weight of 30,000 kg and some nice stats apart from this. However, it has a very steep price which is a let down. How to Get the Rod of the Depths in Fisch
Here’s a step-by-step process to follow:
- Visit Vertigo, a hidden location that can be accessed from a strange whirlpool. This will have wind flowing upwards, which makes it stand apart from the normal whirlpools.
- Once you’ve sunk to Vertigo, head to Synth’s shop and drop down towards Vertigo Dip. This is the location where you can start fishing.
- Now focus on completing the Vertigo Bestiary, and once you get it to 100%, your next goal is to find The Depths Key. It can be randomly obtained by fishing in the same area.
- When you get it, climb up via the red crystals.
- Talk to the Keeper NPC and give him the key. The gate to The Depths will get opened.
- You must complete an Obby where you jump on rocks, but beware, these rocks will fall off behind you, so you can’t wait too long.
- Keep going ahead through a narrow opening, and then the next thing to do is find two altars. This is where you need to place a Hexed and Abyssal Enchant Relic.
- When you find and place them, a hole in the ground will open up. This will take you to an underwater maze and to survive, you require the Advanced Diving Kit, Super Flippers, and Tidebreaker. Complete the maze with green doors that open and close, then come up when you see an opening above you.
- The last step is to approach the shiny red rod and purchase the ‘Rod of the Depths’ in Fisch with 750,000 C$.

Best Enchant for Rod of the Depths
As per players, the best Enchants for the Rod of the Depths are Quality (+15% Lure Speed, +15% Luck, +5% Resilience), Hasty (+55% Lure Speed) or Divine (+45% Luck). However, Abyssal is the best to farm money with this rod. Abyssal provides a 10% chance to fish Abyssal Fish, 80% chance to 1.3x fish’s weight, 20% chance to 0.6x. The best baits to go with this rod are Seaweed and Night Shrimp.
What does the Rod of the Depths Do?
The Rod of the Depths has a passive that gives you a Spirit Clone. It will float behind your character and after every few fish catches, it will also catch another fish from that area. However, the fish caught by the stand does not add to the Bestiary. Since it’s such an expensive rod and a tough quest to complete, it’s best to only start the process when you’ve farmed the necessary amount of money.
