How To Get Dreamshell in Monster Hunter Rise (MHR)

Dreamshell is an important resource material in Monster Hunter Rise. It is used to craft many different items. The Dreamshell is also used in upgrading your weapons and armor. MH Rise describes it as “A shell that contains a sedating gas. It’s adorned with other shells and rocks”. They are rarely dropped in the game. Some resources are dropped when you kill a monster. However, as of now, there is one way to get the Dreamshells. This guide will show you how and where to get Dreamshells in MHR.

To get the Dreamshell you will have to send your Buddies to complete some trade requests at the Argosy. To complete these requests you need to have unlocked the submarines first. With these submarines, your buddies will go on trade missions in rare parts of the MHR world. They will gather resources for you, some of which you can use in crafting.

How to send your Buddies to get Dreamshells in MH Rise

  • Go to the location where the submarines are located.
  • Talk to the NPC Rodine.
  • Go to ‘Order Items’ in the interactive menu.
  • Now choose ‘Trade Requests’.
  • Choose which market you want to send your buddy to.
  • The game will tell you when your Buddy is back from the trip.
  • It might take up to 4 trips to get Dreamshells.

The resources received are completely random. However, sending your buddies to Mushyroom Market has a higher chance of netting you Dreamshells.
