Visually, this Kodama takes on a humanoid shape with standout glowing horns, uneven eyes, and a skull-like mask framed by wooden horns. It wears a dark bib-like outfit marked with a swirling red symbol at its center. So, overall, it will be an eye-catching addition to your garden. But in terms of ability, here’s what it does.
Corrupted Kodam Passive Ability: Tree Spirit
Its passive ability, Tree Spirit, gives about a 4.22% chance for a collected Zen-type fruit to mutate into the powerful Corrupt mutation upon harvest. In effect, it passively spreads corruption through your harvests without needing sprays or other gear.
When activated, the Corrupt mutation adds a sparkly red thunder glow and particles to fruits, massively boosting their sale price (20x multiplier). This makes Corrupted Kodama a valuable asset, not only for increasing income passively during gameplay, but also because it’s a limited-time pet.
Since its drop rate is low (~4.35%), players should aim to complete as many Corrupt Zen Quests as possible before the event ends. Focusing on these quests will significantly improve your chances of obtaining this pet. It has 22,000 Hunger and has no second ability, but is still worth the effort.
