If you’re a fan of Fisch, you’ve probably heard about the Tartaruga—an exotic fish that looks mysterious and it’s challenging to catch as well. Take a look at everything you need to know about this creature including where you can find it, and some handy tips for catching it.
Where and When Can You Catch It?
You’ll find Tartaruga in the Isle of New Beginnings in the Second Sea. If you haven’t unlocked 2nd Sea yet, you have to complete a few steps which involve talking to an NPC in Terrapin Island in First Sea, fighting and defeating the Cthulhu boss and then getting access to the new fishing region.
Once that is done, here are a few things to keep in mind:
- Bait: The best way to lure it in is with Mist Worms. These can be obtained from the Tropical Bait Crate which cannot be purchased as of now. However, you will be able to fish it out of water in the Second Sea area.
- Weather and Season: While you can catch it in any weather, if it’s foggy, you may have a better chance. Winter is the main season to catch it so be ready when the conditions match.
Steps for Catching Tartaruga in Fisch
Landing a Tartaruga isn’t very easy because when you start reeling it in, you’ll notice a huge drop in progress speed (-80%), which means you really have to stay focused.
Make sure to use a fishing rod with high resilience and control, and if you add in an enchantment to boost your results, it will be even better. Blessed Song is an enchantment that grants +40% progress speed when reeling and can be paired with the Ethereal Prism rod, Challengers Rod or the Tempest Rod.
Not only is it a challenge, but catching a Tartaruga is also quite rewarding. It gives you a whopping 60,000 base XP, making it one of the best fish for leveling up your character quickly. It’s on par with other big names like Moby, and just behind the Scylla.
It’s also a valuable fish in terms of money per catch, so you should definitely look into getting multiple. There are a variety of mutations available which will boost your earnings even further.
