Minecraft is a Sandbox Survival game by Mojang that grants the players freedom to do whatever they please under certain World Rules. Many players have made many amazing and beautiful things like SMPs, Gigantic Builds, RPG Realms, Redstone Machines, etc. Minecraft doesn’t seem like a hardcore game but it can catch many players off guard. The plethora of Mobs present in the game are well equipped to kill any player within their vicinity. Make a mistake of going through them & you will die as well as lose all of your stuff from your Inventory. To prevent this, you will need a Totem of Undying. How to Get a Totem of Undying in Minecraft
The Totem of Undying in a Mob drop in Minecraft can be obtained by killing Evokers. Evokers are a type of Pillager Mob that dabbles in Magic & Sorcery. A Totem of Undying is a guaranteed drop from an Evoker and the number of Totems obtained cannot be increased with Looting. Evokers naturally spawn in Woodland Mansions in certain rooms of the Structure. They do not respawn nor do they despawn unless killed in Woodland Mansions. Another way of finding Evokers is by doing a Raid on Hard Difficulty. They will spawn from the 5th Wave of the Raid. Uses of the Totem
A Totem of Undying is an easy cheat to death. If you hold it in your Hand or Off-Hand, the Totem of Dying will trigger upon death. After the trigger, the Totem of Undying will be consumed but it will do the following actions:
- Keeps the player’s EXP Levels.
- Keeps the player’s Inventory.
- Clears all effects before death.
- Give the player’s 1 HP (half a Heart).
- Grants Regeneration II for 40 secs in Bedrock Edition & 45 secs in Java Edition.
- Grants Fire Resistance I for 40 secs.
- Gives 5 secs of Absorption II.
The Totem of Undying will also work in Hardcore mode as well as in Hardcore Multiplayer. It is the perfect Item to carry along a dangerous journey. Although there are limitations to it as it will not work if the player dies by the /kill command or by the Void.
