In Enshrouded, you will frequently need to create items that might be simple but will help you survive all the challenges you face in Embervale. Similarly, one such resource you will have to craft early on in the game will be String. Although initially, players will want to unlock and craft much more powerful items and resources, String can be used while constructing the sturdy Workbench and Grappling Hook. Apart from this, it is also used while making Bandages, which is an extremely useful item you will have to stock up on.
If you are wondering how you can get this resource and use it to craft various functional structures, weapons, and items in the game, here is everything you need to know to craft and find this material.
How to Get String in Enshrouded
Players will be able to collect String in two prominent ways – either by crafting it or by finding it while exploring. We will explain how both of these methods work and how you can use them to quickly get this resource.
Crafting String
In order to craft this resource you will need to harvest Plant Fiber. Unlike Flintstone, this resource can be found everywhere in Embervale. You will have to harvest bushes, shrubs, small tree saplings, and other plants that are spread across the map.
Once you have collected plenty of the resources, you can use three Plant Fiber to craft one String. Additionally, since all the small bushes and shrubs you will harvest will respawn in the same location, you will always be able to collect a ton of Plant Fiber whenever you need it.
Finding String
If you find the option of crafting this material too time-consuming, you can also find it in the vast world of Enshrouded. However, to get String you will have to look for chests, barrels, bundles, etc. Once you destroy them, they will drop this resource.
You can also check Points of Interest on the map and get the location of all these barrels and chests. However, keep in mind that getting this material from these bundles is not guaranteed. As a result, we would advise you to craft String instead of using this method.
Lastly, once you have a ton of String in your inventory, you can use it to craft Bandages, level 1 Workbench, Glider, Axe, Bow, and many other useful recipes that will help you level up and progress through the game.
