After years of anticipation, trailers, screenshots, and endless fan theories, Rockstar Games has finally shared the official cover art for GTA 6. The reveal arrives alongside the announcement that pre-orders will begin on June 25, 2026, marking another major milestone on the road to the game’s release later this year.
Rockstar Unveils Official GTA 6 Cover Art Ahead of Pre-Orders

The newly revealed artwork stays true to the visual identity that has defined the Grand Theft Auto series for decades, while giving it a fresh new look. At the center are protagonists Lucia and Jason, the criminal duo who will lead players through the state of Leonida and the streets of Vice City. Around them, you’ll see various NPCs, a glimpse into the action scenes, vehicles, and the vibrant atmosphere that has become synonymous with GTA.

Similar to the previous entries in the series, this one, too, has a collage with the logo featuring the Roman numeral “VI” at the center. The palette is tropical, the colors vivid, and it’s a stylish way to represent the Florida-inspired setting that we’ve seen in trailers and promo material released till now.
As expected, it has generated quite a discussion across social media because this means that Rockstar is entering a more active stage of the marketing campaign. While the company has yet to reveal pricing details or special editions, they have announced that GTA 5 players on PS4 and Xbox One consoles can upgrade to the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions at no additional cost. This will lead to a seamless transition if those players would like to purchase GTA 6 when it officially comes out, so it’s a smart move from Rockstar.
With pre-orders approaching and the official launch scheduled for November 19, GTA 6 continues to build momentum. The cover art is a small piece, but for many fans, it’s a sign that the next era of Grand Theft Auto is finally getting closer.
