Scattered Prism is a very important crafting material that you can get in Diablo 4. It is needed for improving your gear by letting you add sockets to them. But the catch is you cannot find it by killing your regular enemy mobs. Even killing elite enemies won’t be of much use. So here is how the Scattered Prism works in this game.
How to Get Scattered Prism in Diablo 4
You can get Scattered Prism by killing World Bosses in Diablo 4. One such boss is Ashava, the Pestilent. This is the main method for it. But that doesn’t seem to be the only way to get it. Many players online have claimed to never have participated in World Boss fights but still have it in their inventory. That means there are other ways you can acquire them as well.
So it is safe to assume that this is also a quest reward. And, you could also get scattered prisms by defeating very large enemies.
How to Use Scattered Prism
As mentioned previously, a Scattered Prism is used to add sockets to gears. At times you will find good gear but it won’t have any sockets. These are needed because they allow you to add gems to the item and add attributes to them. But if you have Scattered prisms you can simply go to a Jeweler and get a socket added to your item. You will also need gold for it, but you can acquire that quite easily.
Aside from the above case, there isn’t anything much that you can do with these prisms.
