How To Get Royal Guard Armor Set In Tears Of The Kingdom

The Royal Guard Armor set is one of the best armor sets in Zelda Tears of The Kingdom, but also very tricky to get. Like most armor sets, it has three pieces and they are spread across the Hyrule Castle. The Hyrule Castle is a tricky place to navigate because you can lose hearts because of the Calamity Ganon Gloom. However, with this guide, we will tell you how to get every piece of the Royal Guard Set in ToTK.

How to Get Royal Guard Armor Set in Zelda Tears of The Kingdom

The Royal Guard Armor set in Zelda Tears of The Kingdom comprises Boots, Cap, and a Uniform. These are located inside the Hyrule Castle in the Library, Princess Zelda’s Room, and the Guards’ Chamber respectively. Before trying to enter the Hyrule Castle to get this set, you must have certain gear and abilities. First, you’ll need a paraglider and loads of stamina to reach the castle. Make sure you’ve also unlocked the Gust ability. Then, you’ll need the Ascend ability to move around the castle and Ultrahand to lift trapdoors. Once you have these, you’re ready to enter the castle.

Royal Guard Boots Location in Zelda ToTK

The Royal Guard Boots are located in the King’s Study inside the library. As we mentioned, the Hyrule Castle is surrounded by Calamity Ganon Gloom, so the best way to enter is through the air.

1. Head over to the Lookout Landing Skyview Tower (-0282, 0126, 0018) and launch Link into the air.
2. Then, glide toward the castle and use the Gust ability to go around the right side of the wall.
3. Land on the Hyrule Castle B2 area next to the green spiral (-0218, 1162, 0262).

   

4. Now, enter the door and head down the B3 area to reach the Library.
5. Once in the library, jump down and turn around to face the bookshelf under the stairs.
6. Use the Ultrahand ability to remove the bookshelf and enter the King’s Study (-0174, 1121, 0214).

   

7. Open the chest inside and you’ll get the Royal Guard Boots.

Royal Guard Cap Location in Zelda ToTK

The Royal Guard Cap is located in Princess Zelda’s Room, which is close to the Sanctum. To reach this room:

1. Exit the King’s Study and go to the opposite end of the library.
2. Climb the stairs and you’ll reach the coordinates (-0146, 1012, 0225).
3. From here, use the Ascend ability twice to reach the exterior of the castle.

   

4. Now, go around the pillar in front of you and navigate your way to the castle’s entrance. You may take some Gloom damage but it is minimal.
5. Enter the Sanctum, take the first left exit, and jump down to reach a bridge (-0349, 0995, 0314).

   

6. Turn around, enter the door, and drop down to reach Princes Zelda’s Room.
7. Look for the chest behind the dressing screen and open it to get the Royal Guard Cap.

Royal Guard Armor Uniform Location in Zelda ToTK

The Uniform is the final piece of the Royal Guard Armor in Zelda Tears of The Kingdom. You can find this piece in the Guards’ Chamber outside the castle next to the First Gatehouse. To reach this place from Princess Zelda’s room:

1. Jump off the balcony and use the paraglider to glide down to the left side. Use the Gust ability to go further.
2. Look for a castle structure and navigate your way to the right side of that castle.

   

3. Behind this castle, you’ll find a doorway through the wall. Land at the coordinates (-0331, 0770, 0074).
4. Enter the doorway and use the Ultrahand ability to lift the two trapdoors.
5. Now, climb the stairs and take a left twice. Then, follow the path till you reach the Guards’ Chamber.
6. Make your way down and glide to the center of the Gloom and immediately use the Ascend ability.

   

7. On the first floor, you’ll find the chest containing the Royal Armor Uniform.
