The Big Yoshi, also known as the Fat Yoshi has made their return in the most recent Super Mario RPG Remake. You can trade with this character to get powerful items to help you level up your party members and their stats. On top of that, it won’t require you to spend an extra Frog coin or other currencies. However, it will require you to complete some prerequisites to meet and get Big or Fat Yoshi in this game. This character can be easily missed if you don’t participate in the optional Yoshi race mini-game.

How to Get & Meet Big Yoshi in Super Mario RPG Remake
The Fat or Big Yoshi is located at the Yo’ster Isle through the Pipe Vault area. You can find this area in-between of the Rose Town and Moleville. But before heading there, you must beat Bowyer and get the second Star Piece. You will gain access to the Pipe Vault and Moleville after he is defeated. As you head there, jump into the green pipe in the middle to reach the Yo’ster Isle.
You will find the Baby or Big Yoshi as an egg between the two houses once you each Yoshi island. You must complete some requirements to hatch the Yoshi Egg. They are as follows:
- Defeat Bundt and Rasberry.
- Defeat Boshi in the Yoshi race.
Once the Yoshi egg is hatched, it will spawn as Baby Yoshi. Now, you need to feed him Yoshi cookies to transform him into Big Yoshi. For that, you need to feed the Baby Yoshi 20 cookies. You can get these cookies by completing and winning the Yoshi race hosted by Boshi. Alternatively, you can talk to other Red Yoshis to get free cookies. After feeding him 20 cookies, exit the area and return to Yoshi Island to see his chonky transformation.

Once the baby is transformed into Big Yoshi, trading with him gives you plenty of in-game items. You can feed him a set amount of Yoshi Cookies in exchange for the items he will reward you. Here’s the list of all items Fat Yoshi can reward:
- Frog Coin
- Yoshi-Ade
- Energizer
- Bracer
- Red Essence
