In Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria you discover many unique and useful materials throughout your journey. Plenty of these come in handy as you make your way through the quests and unlock different areas. One such rare material you get in LOTR Return of Moria is Ironwood. Collecting this material requires more grinding than many, but that is worth it. Ironwood is used not only in tools like Durin’s Axe and Ironwood Pickaxe but is also required for crafting Adamant Hammer.
Ironwood is not an early-game resource. You’ll find the need for it when you start exploring Dwarrowdelf or The Lower Deeps. And that is also when you’ll be able to get them in LOTR Return to Moria. Now, without any further ado let’s learn the ways to obtain Ironwood.
How to Get Ironwood in LOTR Return to Moria
There are two ways to get Ironwood in LOTR Return to Moria: destroying furniture and using an enchanted advanced pickaxe to chop trees.
Destroy Furniture for Ironwood
You have to destroy furniture in Dwarrowdelf and The Lower Deeps. Break the furniture and objects like tables, jars, barrels, and vases in ruined houses for Ironwood. This furniture will not only give you Ironwood, but plenty of other materials, including Ubasam Wood. Plus, compared to other ways, this is the fastest way of gathering the needed material.
Use Enchanted Advanced Pickaxe
As for the second method, you need an enchanted advanced pickaxe. You’ll have to get the advanced pickaxe enchanted with the Yarog-luthnul rune. And then use that pickaxe on the trees or overgrown mushrooms of different regions.
Yarog-luthnul rune can be obtained while collecting Adamant. Adamant is a common material. So grind for some time, and you’ll get the rune. After getting the rune, you need a Rune Table. Combine the rune and the advanced pickaxe or other tool on the Rune Table to create the enchanted tool. The Rune Table is found in the Old Settlement of Mines of Moria. And it has to be repaired using 1 Steel Ingot & 15 Elven Wood.
