Fresh Milk is one of the plethoras of food ingredients that can heal Link in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. While consuming Milk only increases half a heart, you can use it to cook a variety of special food dishes that can increase Link’s health. Unlike other food ingredients, you cannot find Milk across the wilds or anywhere across the Hyrule kingdom. You can neither craft nor make Fresh Milk by yourselves. But if you are progressing the Gloom-Borne Illness side quest, you will need Milk along with other ingredients. Don’t worry, in this guide, we will cover where to find or buy Milk in Zelda TOTK. So, check out our guide to find out everything about Fresh Milk.

Where to Get Fresh Milk in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

Since Fresh Milk in Zelda TOTK doesn’t spawn, there are mainly two ways to find and get it. You can get Fresh Milk in by heading to the Hateno Village. Over there, you can buy Milk at a Local General Store for 12 Rupees per bottle. But if you are looking for a free option, you can complete the Dantz’s Prize Cow side quest at Hateno Village.

So, let’s delve into all the ways to get Milk in Tears of the Kingdom:

    Where to Buy Fresh Milk

For those wondering where is Hateno village in TOTK, it is located in the extreme southeastern corner of the map. You can buy Milk by heading to the Local General store in Hateno Village. Here are the Local shop’s exact map coordinates:

      • (3360, -2171, 01220)
    • Although the shop will have only a limited number of Milk bottles, each will cost 12 Rupees. So, make sure you have enough rupees farmed prior.
    • Aside from the Local General Store, several other shops sell Milk.
    • These include the Beedle merchant that spawns at random stables. Note that this merchant is not guaranteed to sell Milk as his stock always randomizes.
    • Furthermore, certain Travelling merchants also sell Milk in Tears of the Kingdom.
    • But since their stock or locations can be a bit unreliable, the best way to get Milk is to buy it from a Local General Store.

However, if you are looking for a free option, scroll till the end.

How to Get Fresh Milk (Dante’s Prize Cows Side Quest)

You can complete Dante’s Prize Cows side-quest to get Fresh Milk in Zelda: TOTK for free. For that, you must head to the Hateno Pasture located to the east of the Hateno Village. So, here are Dante Dairy’s exact map coordinates:

      • (3627, -2076, 0178)
    • As you talk to Dante for the first time, he will state that he is unable to make Fresh Milk due to the scarcity of Acorns.
    • He will ask Link to find and bring him three normal acorns.
    • So, chop down a tree to find and get three Acorns.
    • Alternatively, you can also get Acorns by shooting squirrels with your arrow.
    • Once you have traded three Acorns to Dante, he will reward you with a bottle of Fresh Milk.

If you don’t want to spend your hard-earned Rupees, you can complete this side quest, again. But for every time you trade with Dante, you must give him three acorns for a bottle of Fresh Milk.
