So, if you are looking for something that doesn’t run out of ammo, then the Arc Thrower in Helldivers 2 is something you should get. Whether you want to use it to electrocute the mobs of enemies or do some trolling by accidentally killing your teammate, this weapon has what you need.
How to Get Arc Thrower in Helldivers 2
You can unlock the Arc Thrower for 7000 Requisition Slips. But it isn’t available from the start; you must also reach level 15. In case you meet both of these criteria, here is what you can do:
- Go to the Ship Management area in your Ship. Interact, and it will open its menu.
- Here, the second tab is Stratagems.
- Next, under the Engineering Bay section, you can find Arc Thrower.
- Select it, and if you have enough Requisition slips and the required level, you will have the Purchase button available.
- Purchase it, and you will be able to equip it before missions.
How to Use Arc Thrower
You need to have it equipped before starting your mission. Once you enter the battlefield, enter the following Stratagem Code to use it:
Down > Right > Down > Up > Left > Left
Here are the stats of this weapon:
- Call-in Time: 3 seconds
- Uses: Unlimited
- Cooldown Time: 480 seconds (8 minutes)
Now, when it comes to using this weapon, you should ensure you are away from your friends while using it. It is notorious for making the most out of friendly fire and can very easily kill them. This is practically one of the biggest problems of using it; aside from that, it can be very useful in many situations.
To begin with, it has unlimited ammo, which gives you quite an advantage in fights. If that is not all you even get to charge it before using. This lets you not only deal additional damage, but it can also discharge via multiple targets at once.
This weapon is by no means flawless; aside from the friendly fire, there are two more things that you need to take into account before you decide to use it. The first is it isn’t suitable for long-distance fights you should use it preferably in close combat or from a medium range.
Another issue is it is pretty slow when compared to some other options, as such try using Shield Pack for some protection. It also lacks CC capabilities or isn’t strong enough to stop enemies in their tracks, like when you use the Railgun.
