Locks are a common sight in Dying Light 2. From Lootboxes to Doors, many of them will have Locks on them which you can Lockpick. Usually, the process goes like this, you go up to the lock and then figure it out with a Lockpick. This process can take a bit of time and may end up using a lot of Lockpicks. How to Force Open Locks in Dying Light 2
To open any lock in Dying Light 2, you will need a Lockpick. The same is true for Force Opening a Lock but it works a bit differently. Force Opening locks can only happen if you have upgraded your Lockpicks. The Lockpick has 9 upgrades to it and after every third upgrade, you will be able to Force open an Easy, Medium & Hard Locks in Dying Light 2. Once you have the Lockpick upgraded, all you have to do is go to the Lock. It will give you a prompt of Lockpicking it or Force Opening it. Force Opening will cost you 2 Lockpicks in Dying Light 2 and do it just hold down its respective Key/Button.
How to Upgrade a Lockpick in Dying Light 2?
Like many items, you can upgrade your Lockpick Blueprint from Craftmasters around the map. Just go to them and interact with them. From there, go to the Upgrade tab and then scroll down till you find the Lockpick Blueprint. Select it and you will be able to upgrade it if you have the resources for it. To upgrade it, you will need trophies from defeating special Infecteds like Volatiles & Howlers. Also, after the first upgrade, you will need Old World Money.
