The sequel to the slime farming game is out and it has some interesting new features and updates. Although it is still in early access, you can start your slimy adventure into the new Rainbow Island map as Beatrix LeBeau today. The latest installment in the series, as you may have guessed, brings a variety of different new Slimes. One of these are the Flutter Slimes that are magnificent orange slimes that love to fly. So in this guide we will discuss where you can find Flutter Slimes in Slime Rancher 2.
How to Find Flutter Slimes in Slime Rancher 2
Flutter Slimes are found in the south region of Starlight Strand. Now, in order to get to Starlight Strand, you need to first unlock it by feeding a bunch of Cotton Largo slimes located in the Rainbow Fields. You need to feed any type of veggies to these giant Cotton Slimes until they explode revealing a button to a portal. This portal will give you access to the Starlight Strand region.
Now, Starlight Strand is a relatively vast region that takes time to scour through. To make the transit easier, we recommend getting a Jetpack to quickly get to the south. You can get a Jetpack by acquiring enough Radiant Ore from the Ember Valley region.
Once you have unlocked a Jetpack, fly to the south of the pink region in Starlight Strand. This is where you will find Flutter Slimes freely flying around the area. You can spot a Flutter Slime with their characteristic orange-shade, a pair of butterfly wings and antennas. These flutterbies have a food preference of the Moondew Nectar. You can find this Nectar at night, atop giant blue flowers spawning in the same region. Once you have the Nectar you can feed it to the Flutter Slimes to get Flutter Plorts.
