If you are facing the Lords of the Fallen multiplayer not working issue, playing coop or the PvP modes is almost impossible. Joining the entries of the biggest Soulslike games this year, LOTF is the reboot of the previous game with the same name. While the game is acclaimed by both critics and fans, its multiplayer has plenty of terrible flaws. As players join the coop or PvP mode, they are reportedly getting locked on 30 FPS. Adding to the fiasco, players are unable to play the PvP mode. Don’t worry, check out our guide on how to fix this issue in LOTF.
How to Fix the Lords of the Fallen Multiplayer Not Working Issue
Unfortunately, the multiplayer not working issue in Lords of the Fallen is not acknowledged by the developers at HexWorks as of now. However, it’s worth noting that there is no FPS cap preventing Lords of the Fallen from being locked at 30 FPS. Instead, there are performance and quality modes available in-game as confirmed by the developers. Both these modes allow the game to run in a 1080p resolution @60 FPS and 2k resolution @30 or 60 FPS respectively. According to a Reddit thread by user, u/jvellisochoa, while playing any multiplayer event, coop, or invasion, instantly sets the game to 30 FPS.
In the meantime, this issue can also plague you if it’s an issue from your end. You can encounter FPS-related issues on your consoles due to wrong Graphics settings. To resolve that, follow the below steps:
- Launch the game and head to the in-game Settings.
- Select the Graphics tab.
- Then, set the Render Mode to Performance mode.
- Lastly, head to the game and check if the issue persists
It’s recommended to select the Performance mode for increased FPS at lower visual quality. In contrast, it’s recommended to select the Quality mode for visual quality at the cost of lower FPS.
