Enshrouded has been released in early access, however, many players have reportedly run into low FPS and stuttering issues after launch. While the game can be demanding at times due to its graphical elements and in-game features, players even with higher-end devices are struggling to get normal framerates because of the issue. That being said, the developers at Keen Games have addressed it and have flagged the issue has one of the technical hiccups post-release.

Fix Low FPS and Stuttering Issue in Enshrouded
Before going any further, although the issue has been reported by many players even with high-end devices, we would still suggest that you take a look around and see if your device meets the minimum system requirements for Enshrouded. That said, the developers have addressed the issue on their official Discord server and have stated that they are aware of it.
Toast, one of the community managers on the discord server stated that “Sometimes players can feel like their client is limited to significantly lower framerates than it should be i.e. camera movements feeling like they are 60 FPS, even though the game is running at 200. This issue is known by the team and we are actively investigating”. He also addressed that many players have resolved the issue by limiting the game client to 60 FPS.
Since the developers will provide a hotfix for the issue very soon, you can see if limiting the game client to 60 FPS helps you fix low FPS and stuttering issue in Enshrouded. You can do this by using your dedicated graphic card control panel or by turning off Vsync in the game. It will temporarily fix the issue, we would suggest that you keep track of all the further updates for the game on the official X page or Discord server.
Troubleshooting Tips for Low FPS & Stuttering Issue in Enshrouded
With that being said, if you still experience the issue, here are some additional troubleshooting tips that will help you resolve the issue:
- Update Graphic Drivers: You can update your graphic drivers to resolve any outdated driver issues from your device and to run Enshrouded more smoothly.
- Disable Overlays: Make sure you disable all the graphic card overlays enabled, since sometimes these overlays may cause low FPS and stuttering issues.
- Verify the Integrity of Game Files: Corrupted files can cause such issues, we suggest you scan for them in your game’s directory and repair or update them to the latest version.
- Update the Game: Check for updates regularly, if there is a patch available it might be because the developers have resolved the issue themselves.
- Reinstall the Game: You can always try to uninstall and reinstall the game to see if it resolves the issue in the game.
Additionally, you can also lower your graphic settings in Enshrouded to have some more framerate and resolve the stuttering issues.
