How to Fix Error Code 2901 in MW2 (Lobby Not Found)
Fortunately, the devs at Infinity Ward have resolved the error code 2901 with their recent update in Modern Warfare 2. So, you need to restart the game or device to apply this hotfix.
But there can be other reasons if you are still facing the error cause: 10, error code 2901 in MW2. Since the update is live, you can manually update the game to the latest version. Note that if you are using an outdated game version, the hotfix won’t be applied automatically. So, check for any pending updates and install them to resolve this error. This should fix the error code 2901 in all supported platforms including PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X | S, and Xbox One.
But if that doesn’t work out, here are some workarounds to resolve this error on your PC and consoles:
- Check your Internet Connection
- Restart your router or Modem
- Check for Server Outages
- Restart or Power Cycle your Console
- Reinstall COD Modern Warfare 2 on your console or PC
- Submit a Ticket to Activision Support
