Firstly, players will get the in-game prompt to merge accounts after which their accounts will be eligible for cross-progression. If you are yet to understand how it works, do check out this article from EA explaining everything there is on cross-progression including a few FAQs.

At the moment, EA Support have clarified in this community thread that cross progression not working is not an error or bug of any kind. Instead, it is a process that is rolling out over time so players will soon see this reflect on their account. Whether you are on PC or console, you will soon have one account. However, there is no confirm date regarding when the process is complete.

While it’s entirely a possibility that you have faced some issue or error with cross-progression, you will have to wait till the roll out is complete. If players still face this issue after a while, it’s best that they contact EA Support immediately. It’s quite likely that EA will provide a fix or a patch if an error does occur. However, no one would want to wait for that.
