How to Get the Firework Rod in Fisch
To obtain the Firework Rod, you need to complete the Algae Hunt during the Golden Tide event which lasts until January 25, 2025. Talk to Dr Glimmerfin in Moosewood and then, find Algae in 4 different locations. When you submit the third Algae, you can get the Firework Rod in Fisch as a reward. Giving the last algae will earn you Dr Glimmerfin’s boat.
Note that these algae hunts are competitive because each location has only up to 2 Algaes to catch. So, getting to the location quickly after you see the chat message announcement and using the right fishing rod and bait to collect the algae fast is important. The rod is described as being imbued with festive magic. It has a 15% chance for the Firework mutation (3.5x sell price) and it also reduces the Eternal Frostwhale’s negative progress speed by 20% and gives a +0.2% whale encounter rate.

As you can see the base stats are alright, but you can take them even further by enchanting this fishing rod. The Hasty enchant will help you +55% Lure speed and if you want to use this fishing rod in different locations, you can go for the Unbreakable (+10,000 Max Kg) or Herculean (+25,000 Max Kg) enchants. Since the Resilience is low, you can get Mystical with the Exalted Enchant Relic or Resilient from the normal Enchant Relic.
