Pokemon Scarlet & Violet: Where To Find Baxcalibur

Baxcalibur is one of the newly introduced creatures in the current Pokemon Scarlet & Violet game. This Godzilla-like monster belongs to the Dragon/Ice type in the game. However, there are many trainers who are struggling to find Baxcalibur in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. If you’re one of them, you’re at the right place. This guide will surely help you out.

How to Get Baxcalibur in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

Without beating around the bush, we want to tell you that you can’t find Baxcalibur in Paldea. Yes, you heard that right. If you’re trying to find Baxcalibur in Pokemon SV, your efforts are going to be futile. The only way to get the ‘Ice Dragon Pokemon’ is by evolving it from Artcibax in the game. But first you will need to find its base form – Frigibax.

Catching Frigibax in Pokemon SV is by no means easy. ‘The Ice Fin’ Pokemon can be found at only one location, we’ll break it down for you:

  • From the Naranja Academy at Mesagoza, travel towards the north until you reach the Glaseado Mountain area.

  • Once you’re here, you’ll be able to see a Poke Stop symbol on the map.

  • From there, go towards the western side of the mountain until you see the grasslands. You’ll find the entrance of the cave at this spot. We have marked it on the map below to make it easier for you.

Once you enter, you’ll see a group of rare pocket monsters in the cave. Among them will be Frigibax. A single Ultra Ball should do the trick in catching it.

Once you add Frigibax to your Pokedex, you will have to start training it to get the ultimate evolution – Baxcalibur. As soon as you reach Level 35, Frigibax will evolve into Artcibax. To quicken the process, you can use EXP Candy. You will have to take your Artcibax to Level 54 to get the final evolution. Your Artcibax will transform into Baxcalibur immediately. That is how you’ll have your much desired dragon in your Pokemon SV team at last!
