The latest 1.000.102 update in Helldivers 2 has introduced the game’s first flying enemy, Shriekers. This creature resides in the Terminid Faction and is also called the “Flying Bug” by the players. The Shriekers look somewhat similar to the Terminid Scavenger but have wings. If not tackled properly, you can be in a very tight situation against these flying bugs. To help you with it, we have created this guide.
Here, you will learn where to find and kill Shriekers in Helldivers 2. This will help you figure out where it spawns; when it does, you’ll know how to deal with it.
Where to Find Shriekers (Shriekers) in Helldivers 2
Like Scavengers and other Terminids, Shriekers aren’t found wandering around a Planet searching for their prey. Instead, they spawn only when you are close to their nests. They are precisely like the Stalkers who appear when you are close to the Stalker’s Nest.
A Shrieker Nest is high above the ground and looks like a giant glowy mushroom. So buckle up whenever you find something like this because Shriekers will come flying toward you. A Shrieker Nest will only spawn if the Terminid-infested Planet has it as a secondary objective. One advice: ensure you aren’t alone while close to many Shriekers. Scroll down below to know why.
How to Kill Shriekers
Honestly, killing a Shrieker is no big deal in Helldivers 2. Just a few shots from your Rifle can bring these flying bugs to the ground. However, you will have to be precise while shooting them. Sometimes, they fly above your head, and the POV makes it challenging to spot them. You should move around with your squad, as they can shoot this creature when it explicitly targets you.
A long-range weapon is the best option to bring the fight to the Shriekers. You will need an AR to strike them as they will come close and fly away constantly.
That’s all there is to know about the Shriekers in Helldivers 2. While you are here, why don’t you check out our other guides on Stratagems and Weapons Tier List? This will help you find enemies that are worse than the Shriekers.
