Ether Cane is a resource that can only be obtained in the Dawning Event. The only way to get it is by defeating Fallen enemies. That is pretty much how you can get Ether Cane in Destiny 2. All you have to do is go to areas with high Fallen enemy spawns and defeat them. After defeating them you will get Ether Cane for the recipes in the Dawning Event.

The best way to get a lot of Ether Cane is to go to Locations like the EDZ (European Dead Zone). Going there a couple of times will net you a good amount of Ether Cane. Another area where you can find a lot of Fallen Enemies is at the Lost Sectors. This is also a great time to get other rare resources. By using specific weapons, you get rare drops like Delicious Explosion, Impossible Heat, Null Taste, etc. Here are some of the Ingredients you can get.

  • Balanced Flavors: Kills with a Bow/Sniper rifle/Scout rifle
  • Bullet Spray: Kills with a Submachine gun/Machine gun/Auto Rifle
  • Delicious Explosion: Kills with a Grenade/Rocket Launcher/Grenade Launcher
  • Electric Flavor: Kills with Arc damage
  • Finishing Touch: Kills by using a Finisher
  • Impossible Heat: Kills with Solar damage
  • Multifaceted Flavors: Get Multi-kills
  • Null Taste: Kills with Void damage
  • Perfect Taste: Precision Kills
  • Personal Touch: Kills by Melee
