The developers have added a brand new class called the Priest in Dead Rails and it has already proven to be one of the best classes. Dead Rails Priest Class Guide
The Priest class in Dead Rails is immune to lightning strikes, starts with x2 Crucifix, x2 Holy Water and x1 Shovel and costs 75 Bonds. The first two items are quite tough to find, so getting them as starting items is great. If you run out of money, you can also sell the Holy Water for $90, however the Crucifix cannot be sold. Aside from these, you also get a Cross necklace which is a cosmetic.
The Crucifix is a powerful tool that can deal a high amount of damage in a small area, unleash lightning strikes, and instantly kill anything that gets caught in it. This can come in handy when you get swarmed by enemies and need a quick way out. You can also weld it to a train if you prefer.
Holy Water on the other hand works like a Molotov in this game. Throw it at the ground to create green flames and when enemies walk through it, they will take a lot of damage. You can kill the rest of the zombies/outlaws/other foes with your weapons.
You also get a Shovel by default which needs to be replaced with a better weapon as soon as possible. If you’re playing solo, make sure to loot towns with the right strategy and make sure to upgrade your train to give it better defense as well as offensive power.
