    new dead rails classes

Dead Rails has added a bunch of new classes, making new runs even more exciting for players. If you’re wondering which class to pick from these new options, this guide breaks down everything you need to know including the abilities, starting gear, and unique appearances. Each class has its strengths and weaknesses, so choose wisely based on your playstyle!

    Dead Rails New Classes Guide

    Miner Class

In-game description: “Spawns with coal, has a headlamp that always provides light to an area.”

The Miner is the ideal class for players who want to explore dark areas with ease. The built-in headlamp provides constant light, making navigation and item collection much more convenient.

    • Cost: 15 Bonds
    • Starting Gear:
      • 1x Mining Helmet (with an active headlamp)
      • 2x Coal
      • 1x Pickaxe
    • Appearance: Wears a mining helmet with the light permanently turned on.

    High Roller Class

In-game description: “Collect moneybags for 1.5x more, but you’re 10x more likely to be struck by lightning.”

The High Roller is perfect for risk-takers who want to maximize their earnings. This class earns 1.5x more money from money bags, but the trade-off is a significantly increased chance of getting struck by lightning during a storm.

    • Starting Gear:
      • 1x Shovel
    • Appearance: Wears a stylish white cowboy hat.

    Conductor Class

In-game description: “Can drive the train at a faster speed, but they have half the max health and don’t spawn with a melee weapon.”

The Conductor is all about speed and efficiency, allowing the train to move at a faster pace. However, this comes at a cost—half the max health compared to other classes, and no melee weapon at spawn.

    • Starting Gear:
      • 2x Coal
    • Appearance: Wears a standard gray railroad cap.
    vampire class dead rails

    Vampire Class

In-game description: “Increased movement speed and melee damage, but takes damage in direct sunlight.”

For those who prefer an aggressive melee approach, the Vampire is a strong choice. This class gains a boost in movement speed and melee damage, making them deadly in close combat. However, they take damage when exposed to direct sunlight.

    • Starting Gear:
      • 1x Shovel
      • 1x Vampire Knife (helps with healing)
    • Appearance: Has black hair with some gray on the sides.

    Cowboy

In-game description: “Spawns the player with a revolver, ammo, and a tamed horse.”

This class is for those who want to start with some gun-slinging and easy navigation with the horse.

    • Cost: 50 Bonds
    • Starting Gear:
      • x2 Revolver Ammo
      • x1 Saddle
      • x1 Shovel
      • x1 Revolver
    • Appearance: Wears a Cowboy hat.

If you’d like to go for the other classes in the game, here’s what you need to know about the mechanics associated with them: Priest Class, Ironclad, The Alamo, Arsonist and Doctor.

    Survivalist

In-game description: “The lower your health, the more damage you do.”

This works for those players who like a “glass-cannon” approach in games. Health management is of the highest priority for this class and can lead to some thrilling gameplay.

    • Cost: 75 Bonds
    • Starting Gear:
      • x1 Shovel
      • x1 Tomahawk
    • Appearance: Wears a brown hat.

    Zombie

In-game description: “Can eat dead bodies to replenish health as a zombie, but can no longer use bandages or snake oil. Less detected by Enemies.”

    • Cost: 75 Bonds
    • Starting Gear:
      • x1 Shovel
