The Golden Tide update in Fisch is now live and players have a brand new task of catching some unique fishes. So, if you’re someone who is a completionist and want to have every fish available in the game, hurry, because this event lasts only till January 25, 2025.
How to Complete the Golden Tide Bestiary in Fisch
To initiate the Golden Tide event, you need to talk to Dr Glimmerfin NPC who is located in Moosewood near the Shipwright. He will give you the task of finding 4 algae—Ancient, Forsaken, Mushgrove and Snowcap. Once you’ve given them all to him, you can start your journey of completing the Golden Tide bestiary.
To find fish specific to the Golden Tide event, look for Golden Tide pools in the Ocean. They will have a golden line going up towards the sky and will last for 13 minutes. Note that using a Sundial Totem won’t work to manually spawn these pools so it’s best to avoid using them for this purpose.
There are 5 unique and limited-time fish that can be caught to complete the Golden Tide bestiary — Tidal Pike, Confetti Shark, Eternal Frostwhale, Hourglass Bass and Countdown Perch. Each of them requires a unique bait to have the best chance to catch it. Most of these baits can be obtained from crates that can be purchased from merchants or fished out from water. However, there are different ways to collect some of the rarer baits.

- Eternal Frostwhale – Shark Head
- Hourglass Bass – Aurora Bait (Could be collected during Fischmas’ advent calendar and some codes but it can be caught without this bait as well)
- Countdown Perch – Weird Algae
