Baldur’s Gate 3 players can’t leave camp or long rest due to an annoying bug, and this guide has the fix. While it is not an official fix, it’s more of a workaround and it seems to be working. Since there are numerous activities related to Long Rest and the camp, you need to fix the Can’t Leave Camp bug quickly in BG3.
Can’t Leave Camp Workaround in Baldur’s Gate 3
Once your game is bugged, you can move around the camp with other characters but you can’t Leave Camp or Long Rest in BG3. The only way to fix this currently is simply to load a quick save or the closest saved file. Once you load a quick save, you will be able to have a Long Rest (maybe trigger the Guardian cutscene) and won’t face the Can’t Leave Camp bug in Baldur’s Gate 3. Also, it can be a good idea to completely restart the game and then load a saved game. At the time of writing, this is the only troubleshooting tip that we can give you to fix this issue.
Since Larian Studios are yet to address this matter, an official fix is far from release. However, one of the patches or updates might bring a permanent solution to the bug and players won’t be stuck in camp without having a long rest in BG3. Additionally, it would be a good idea to contact BG3 Support and provide them with details of the bug. They might release a patch or an update if they keep getting complaints.
