Gray Zone Warfare: How To Call A Helicopter

Published Date :

It is crystal clear that traveling by Helicopter in Gray Zone Warfare is way smarter than traveling on foot. Since the forest landscape is filled with unknown threats, everything you carry, including yourself, is vulnerable. So, instead of fighting back, you can retreat and save yourself a fortune. Thankfully, you can always call a Helicopter to travel between points A and B. You can learn a lot about calling this air service if you don’t already know about it. This guide has everything you need.

How to Call a Helicopter in Gray Zone Warfare

Before you call a Helicopter for help, you must know the traveling rules. The first is that the helicopter tracks your location throughout the game. Whenever you call for a pickup, it will choose an LZ or Landing Zone close to you. You can always open the Map to check the location of the nearby LZ. With that said, here’s how you can call a Helicopter in Gray Zone Warfare:

  1. Press Tab to open the Map and select a place you want to go.
  2. A “Call Transport” option will appear at the top right when you click a place icon.
  3. Click on it, and a pickup timer will appear on your closest LZ.
  4. Get to it and board the Helicopter to fly over to the destination.

You can also call Helicopter if you are at your base. From there, you can go to any area you choose within a few seconds. One interesting thing about Helicopter is that you can change your landing point midflight. This is extremely helpful for those who constantly make changes in their plan. All you need to do is open the map and select another LZ. The pilot will then change the route and fly to the newly marked location.

Note: Your helicopter is represented by a green icon on the map, while Other Helicopters are marked with a blue icon.

It should be noted that while boarding the Helicopter, your in-game character becomes vulnerable to incoming attacks. This happens because of the boarding animation. However, you are safe once the chopper takes off.

Once a Helicopter lands, you will have about 20 seconds before it takes off again. So make sure to get aboard on time or wait until it lands again.
