Elden Ring features various kinds of different consumables and items that restore your health. The Boiled Crab is an advanced or a better version of the Boiled Prawn that can boost your physical damage negation. This means you will be able to deal with incoming attacks from horrifying enemies for a longer time. But as players scavenge for this unique consumable, they are unable to find it anywhere around the Lands Between. Not to worry, check out our guide on how to get and use the Boiled Crab in Elden Ring.
How to Get Boiled Crab in Elden Ring
You can get the Boiled Crab only from the Blackguard Big Boogart or the Prawn Man as known by several players in Elden Ring. But for that, you must continue with the Rya questline. The Blackguard Big Boogart is introduced as the thief who stole Rya’s Necklace. You can find and confront him at the Boilprawn Shack in the Liurnia of Lakes swamps. It is located to the north of the Scenic Isle, the site of the Grace.
As you talk with the Prawn Man, he will ask you to buy the stolen Necklace or leave. If you refuse to buy and kill him, you won’t be able to buy the Boiled Prawns or Crabs in the future. But on the contrary, if you buy Rya’s Necklace for 1000 Runes, you can buy Boiled Prawns from him. You can buy the Boiled Prawns for 600 Runes at the same location. Once you have bought the Boiled prawns, the Blackguard Big Boogart will shift to a different location.
You can now, find him located in the Outer Moat near the Capital Rampart in Leyndell. As you interact and talk to him, he would also be selling Boiled Crabs, this time. You can refer to the above image for the exact location. Now, you can head to this location to buy the Boiled Crabs and Prawns. You can buy the Boiled Crabs from him at the Capital Outskirts for 600 Runes. Once you complete his questline, you can offer Blackguard’s Bell Bearing to the Twin Maiden Husks to buy the Boiled Crabs and Prawns. You can purchase both unique consumables for the same price at 600 Runes from them.
Note that heading Volcano Manor without speaking to Rya in Liurnia of the Lakes would make the Prawn Man questline inaccessible. This would also result in losing buying the Boiled Crabs and Prawns. You can find Rya next to the Birdseye Telescope under the Stone structure in the Liurnia of Lakes.
