    dying light 2 best weapons

Dying Light 2 has a ton of weapons that you can use to slay the zombies, but which is the best? This question is bothering many players, and if you are one of them then you are at the right place to get the answer. Whenever there are multiple weapons in a game some are bound to be better than the others. So in this guide let us take a look at the best weapons in Dying Light 2 and their alternatives.

Best Weapons in Dying Light 2

Before we take a look at the best weapons, it is important you know this is just my recommendation of the best weapons. Another thing to keep in mind is there are no definite “best” weapons in this game. The weapons you use get affected by the mods you add to them. And the biggest contributing factor to making them the best is your playstyle. So without further ado, let us check the best weapons this game has to offer.

    • Slashing Weapon: Enso Katana
    • Blunt Weapon: Verbum
    • Ranged Weapon: Paper Clip

Let us check why they are the best and if there are any alternatives for them.

    Best Slashing Weapon

Enso Katana is a long sword and is easily the best slashing weapon that the game has to offer. This is stronger than many other weapons in the game. And you will be very lucky if you can get your hands on this weapon early in the game. Many players even consider it to be a better weapon than Heavy Duty that you get after completing the game.

Speaking of the next best weapon, it is in fact Heavy Duty although it will only be usable if you plan to play the game even after completing. You get it as a reward for completing the “X-13” mission.

But if you are looking for an alternative to these two weapons then you could go with Billhook. The reason we choose this weapon is you get it early in the game as a reward for completing the mission “Markers of Plague“.

Best Blunt Weapon in Dying Light 2

Verbum is a type of hammer and is the best Blunt weapon you can get in the game. You don’t get it as a mission reward so there is no guarantee when you can get one. But be sure to look out for it, because if you do happen to get your hands on it then you are sure to do a lot of damage.

The next best alternative for a blunt weapon is the Scrapper Hammer, which is also a hammer as the name suggests. You get this weapon as a reward for completing the mission “Unruly Brother“.

    Best Ranged Weapon

Paper Clip is a type of Bow and is the best-ranged weapon in the game. A good thing is you can find it before completing the game. But the bad thing is it is quite near the end part of the game. So you won’t be able to enjoy it that much when compared to some other weapons. You can get Paper Clip in “The Shoe” mission inside Lawan’s Apartment.

Alternatively, you can also use the PK Crossbow. It has an incredible damage output and fire rate. You get this weapon after giving the Peacekeepers the control of 4 facilities as a reward.

And last but not least you can also use the Pipe Blow, you get this weapon quite early, around the middle part of the game. It is a reward from the “Let’s Waltz” Mission.

That covers everything you need to know about the best weapons in Dying Light 2 and their alternatives. If you like playing this game then be sure to check our other guides on how to change FOV, how to get the grappling hook and how to customize your character in Dying Light 2.
