Hogwarts Legacy is a love letter to all the Potterheads and Harry Potter fans around the world. There’s a plethora of gameplay mechanics and elements that would remind you of the Wizarding World. But where there is light, there’s also dark to balance out. This brings us to the dark prisons of Azkaban surrounded by ghastly Dementors. How to Get to Azkaban in Hogwarts Legacy
You can get to Azkaban only if you are playing as a Hufflepuff student in Hogwarts Legacy. You will get this quest after completing the Trials of Merlin’s quest titled the Prisoner of Love. To start this quest, head over to the Common Room and interact with the Eldritch Diggory’s painting. As every Common room is different, only Hufflepuff house players can play through this quest. But before you interact with the painting, you have to obtain a letter informing you that Eldritch Diggory wants to talk to you.
So, here’s how you can travel and visit the Azkaban prison in Hogwarts Legacy:
- Keep on progressing with the main story quests and side-quests until you rescue an old woman.
- You will rescue this old woman from Victor’s Rookwood gang near Black Lake.
- Once you have rescued her, you will receive the letter.
- As mentioned earlier, this letter will inform you that Eldritch Diggory, the previous minister of Magic wants to speak to you.
- Upon interacting with the painting, Eldritch will ask you to visit Helen Thistlewood.
- So, head over to her house located in the nearby hamlet of Upper Hogsfield region.
- As you reach there, interact and talk to her. After a short conversation, she will ask you to speak to the wrongfully convicted Anne at Azkaban.
- When asked, choose the “I’ll come with you to Azkaban” dialogue option. She will tell you that she can apparate you and herself to Azkaban directly.
- Lastly, chose the “I’m ready to go” option to apparate to Azkaban instantly.
Not to spoil the rest of the quest story, you will catch a glimpse of Dementors and other prisoners at Azkaban. Unfortunately, once you have completed this quest, you cannot head back to the Azkaban prison. So, it seems like Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, and Ravenclaw houses aren’t missing much.
