God Of War Ragnarok Yggdrasil Seeds: What Do They Do? (Explained)

Want the key to fast travel around the Nine Realms? Check out our guide that explains what do the Yggdrasil Seeds do in God of War Ragnarok.

God of War Ragnarok has finally arrived with Kratos and Atreus exploring the Nine realms. There’s a plethora of items and collectibles that can help in your journey. Yggdrasil is one of the key items that can help the father-son duo to fast-travel instantly in GOW Ragnarok. But what is it and how does it work? Check out our guide on what the Yggdrasil seeds do in God of War Ragnarok.

What Do the Yggdrasil Seeds Do in God of War Ragnarok

As mentioned earlier, Yggdrasil seeds are crucial for fast travel in GoW Ragnarok. Yggdrasil is the World Tree, Tree of Life, or the Center of the Nine Realms according to the Norse Myths. You can use the Yggdrasil to access its branches and fast-travel across the Nine Realms. Unlike the previous installment, you don’t need a Travel table or Bifrost table at Brok’s workshop. With the Yggdrasil seeds, you gain access to the Mystic Gateways. These Mystic gateways can help you travel across the Nine Realms.

As you interact with these Gateways, you also fill up all of your Meters. This includes your Health and Rage Meter. This is something that neither Brok nor Sindri would tell you in God of War Ragnarok. However, to fast-travel through the realms, you need the Yggdrasil Realm seeds or simply the Yggdrasil seeds.

Scroll till the end to find out how to get them.

How to Get Yggdrasil Seeds

You will get the first seed from Sindri at his house as he explains how Mystic Gateways work. You will use it for the first time to travel to Svartalfheim. As you reach that realm, you can complete the very first Favours to get Yggdrasil Seeds as a reward. This Favour would be called the Crucible. While some seeds are given to you as you progress through the main story, most are to be discovered by Kratos and Atreus.

Some of the Realms would remain locked. And to unlock them, you need to use the corresponding Yggdrasil Seed. You can get these corresponding seeds by progressing through the Story quests. But make sure to not waste any single Yggdrasil Seed until you have them stacked up.
